Edward Curtis is a renown turn-of-the-century photographer and documentarian of Native Americans. This book is a collection strictly of his shots of architectural images.
The photo-editing for this book was an enormous task—partly because the images themselves were enormous—and very fragile. But their reproduction was also difficult—it was printed in Italy in three custom colors. The interior layout (images coming soon) is simple, a quiet rhythm of image and caption, with the most challenging part being the comprehensive table of plate information at the back.
