Edward’s capabilities book is complete. This is a really fun piece. We shot unexpected images around their facilities to represent all the ways Edward makes your experience different, and better. It‘’s a unique expression of their new look and feel, and the first appearance of photography within it. It was shot by Bob Randall.
Logolounge 3 is out! It features three logos I designed: 41Seventy Studio, Lisa and my wedding symbol, and Bonk, which is on the cover!
The business cards for Pilates Pro are printed. The identity is being worked into their Web site and e-newsletter by my lovely and talented wife.
Do you know what an osteopath is? We’re pitching the American Osteopathic Association for a really big campaign. We created a Web site for the proposal and it highlights our understanding of the fact that the AOA has a unique challenge to educate people as to what osteopathic medicine is, as well as to make it relevant to people.
The Flash animation Matt Mefford and I did for the launch of the Edward Hospital brand is now a TV commercial. Editing the visuals down to fit the 30 second spot was tough. Editing down the music I created for it was even tougherespecially getting it all to synch up with the voiceover we recorded for the end. But it was a really fun process, and it’s on TV!
Edward Hospital’s new brand launched. The look and feel was in development when I arrived at Remedy, but I got there in time to help with this launch campaign which introduces the new graphic style, voice, and tag line.
My first major piece of work with Remedy is complete. The capabilities brochure for Bronson hospital. It‘s the first real manifestation of the new look and feel we’re developing for them. The visual architecture includes a rich palette of greens used in varying bands along with dynamic imagery of nature and people out in nature.
An impressive thing about Remedy is their commitment to growing the businessin terms of who they service and what they offer them. In fact, they treat themselves as a client. Something I’ve been working on since arriving was a new business piecesomething to mail to potential clients who deal with the issue of childhood obesity in some way. We created two things to mail that would really get attention: a bag of sugar and a happy meal package, both covered with alarming info and stats related to the issue.
Begun while I was still in California, "Visionary State" is about to hit the shelves. It’s a unique book, about the eccentric face of spirituality in California. It’s cool photos and ”enlightening“ text on a wide range of spiritual sites around the state, and my job was to get that eccentricity across and make it dynamic, in what is actually a pretty packed, and somewhat scholarly, tome. I think the result is pretty rich and engaging.
I’m in Chicago. The dog and I drove across the country from California and ended up with a thousand pictures and one speeding ticket. I begin at Remedy right away.
